About

EIT Urban Mobility is a Knowledge and Innovation Community launched in 2019 to accelerate the paradigm shift towards a sustainable urban mobility system and liveable urban spaces. It is supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, a body of the EU. By 2026, it aims to become the leading innovation community to educate and inspire mobility solutions for 21st-century cities to bring about positive change for cities and citizens towards sustainable and healthy urban environments. The overarching purposes they are striving for include improving the quality of life in cities, mitigating climate change, contributing to the competitiveness of cities, and creating jobs. Taking mobility challenges faced by cities as a starting point to plan its activities, EIT-UM gathers key players in the field of sustainable urban mobility to foster the development of innovative solutions. Its community consists of over 200 partners from leading companies, research and education institutions, and cities in Europe.

Contribution

Thanks to its large network of urban mobility stakeholders, EIT-UM leads Work Package 7 Impact creation & stakeholder community building. Additionally, it supports Task 1.2 Analysis of existing circular BMs, Task 2.3 Development of data access policies for battery passport, and Task 6.4 Elaboration of recommendations for RL optimisation.
