BatteReverse takes part in WCCM 2026 with two presentations from Maxime Montaru (CEA, France), sharing recent project results on assessing and predicting the health of second-life electric vehicle batteries.
The first talk, "Simplified modeling approach for predicting the remaining useful life of EV batteries in second-life applications," presents a four-parameter aging model calibrated on retired Renault Zoe battery packs to estimate how long repurposed batteries can be expected to last under different second-life use cases such as frequency regulation and solar smoothing.
The second talk, "Fast diagnosis for SOH estimation of 2nd life battery modules," looks at rapid diagnostic methods for assessing the state of health of used battery modules, a key step in making second-life battery deployment faster and more cost-effective at scale.
Both presentations are part of WCCM 2026's sessions on Prognostics and Fault Diagnosis and Prognosis, held Tuesday, 25 August, in Milan, Italy.
