The European Robotics Forum (ERF 2024), to be held from 13 to 15 March 2024, will bring academic and industrial robotics experts together in the vibrant city of Rimini, Italy. The event is designed to encourage interaction between end-users, researchers, technology producers with the ultimate goal of improving industrial competitiveness, fostering scientific progress, stimulating networking between stakeholders in the field, and identifying new impactful application scenarios for robotics.

BatteReverse partner and Eurecat Robotics and Automation Unit Principal Investigator Nestor Garcia co-organised the 'Facing the new era of transportation: Processing of EV batteries' workshop within ERF 2024. The workshop, which takes place on 15 March, explores AI-driven autonomous disassembly of used EV batteries to overcome safety hazards and inefficiencies inherent in manual labor and presents solutions utilising commercial robots and novel software, with machine learning and digital twins optimising the dismantling process dynamically.
