About the Challenges

1. Battery Circularity Challenge

Li-ion batteries are essential for the energy transition, yet they present new challenges, including shortages of critical raw materials and the management of significant waste streams. Participate in this hackathon challenge to assist in maximizing the value of electric vehicle batteries and ensuring their true sustainability. Your team's mission will be to create an innovative tool and a business model that aids in choosing between various circularity scenarios: repair, reuse, and recycle. Don't worry if you're not an expert in the battery value chain; the challenge will commence with a Battery Circularity Game – an interactive workshop that elucidates the roles, challenges, and business models of various stakeholders involved in battery reverse logistics. This challenge is organized by battery experts from Bax & Company, who are also members of the BatteReverse project. Join the BatteReverse Community to delve deeper into this topic and exchange ideas: https://www.battereverse.eu/community

2. Sustainable Business Model Challenge

Our current food system is responsible for almost a third of global GHG emissions, depletes natural resources, reduces biodiversity, impacts health, and fails to provide reasonable economic returns, especially to primary producers within the food value chain. Join this challenge to steer our food sector towards sustainability, opening up fresh opportunities for all participants in the food system with sustainable solutions. You and your team will be tasked with developing sustainable business models for rural communities in the agricultural and aquacultural sectors, utilizing innovative technological and non-technological solutions to enhance the economic, social, and environmental performance of food value chains. This challenge is organized by sustainability experts from Project HUB-360, who will provide guidance and support to your team throughout the challenge.
